Study Guide—Net Papers

Plagiarism is a violation of academic honesty. That should cover all the bases, but it's necessary here to pay particular attention to one form of plagiarism: getting term papers off the Internet.

I don't need to belabor the point, so I'll be succinct: any paper taken from the Internet will receive an F.

Specific offenders include:

There are lots more, but you get the point. Besides, they go in and out of existence pretty fast.

Sites like these don't bother me. They are simple-minded efforts and I like to think my students have got beyond being simple-minded. Spotting and documenting a stolen paper is trivial, so don't even waste your time.  You have to do *really* badly on a paper to get an F from me.  Even perfunctory efforts will get at least a D. So do yourself a favor and don't bother with these so-called services. They're just childish efforts put out by people who resented classes that actually expected them to work.
