Hadrian's Wall

Well, here it is. You've all heard about the wall. What about the man who built it?

Be sure to do the basics. When was it built? Why? Exactly where is it?

Why would an emperor in Rome care about something so far away?

But also look at the less obvious. Who did the actual building? Did the wall work?

Did Hadrian build any other walls? Did any other emperors do this sort of thing?

See if you can find out about the historical debate surrounding whether the building of Hadrian's Wall marks the end of Roman expansion.
