Academic Support
If you need tutoring in math, writing or a subject area, or want to brush up your study and reading skills, or want to know more about CCD's computer labs and learning resources, this is the place for you.
 
 Advising
If you're new to CCD or need help clarifying your college and career goals, start in the Student Development Center, South Classroom, 134. Here you'll also find services for international, refugee, and immigrant students. The Student Assistance Center offers special support programs for women, single parents and dislocated workers.
 
 Career Services
Tune into resources available in Career Services to find out more about various career fields and to obtain career counseling and testing and assistance finding a job. Or check out CCD's Cooperative Education Center where you can earn while you learn and obtain college credit for your job experience.
 
 Child Care
While you attend college, you can be assured that your children recieve top-flight care and learning development opportunities at on-site child care centers. If you want to find off-campus child care services, check out CCD's Work and Family Resource Center.

"The True Pictures and Fashions of the People in that Part of America Now Called Virginia" by John White(?), 1584 & 1588. 
John White's drawings and descriptions of the Indians and the countryside of the Roanoke Island area provide details of the people 
and environment in the settlement called "Virginia." Theodore DeBry's engravings of White's watercolors appear in the 1590 edition 
of Thomas Hariot's account of the exploration.
